Effective date: April 2026
All trading data is stored locally in a SQLite database on your computer. PitLog does not collect, transmit, or store your trades, notes, or analytics on any server.
PitLog ("we", "our", "the software") is a desktop trading journal application for Windows. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data is handled when you use PitLog.
All data you enter into PitLog — including trades, accounts, notes, tags, and analytics — is stored exclusively in a local SQLite database on your own computer. This data never leaves your device and is never transmitted to us or any third party.
When you activate your license key, PitLog communicates with two external services:
No personal information (name, email, payment details) is collected or stored during this process. Only the license key and an anonymous machine hash are used.
PitLog does not include analytics, crash reporting, usage tracking, or any form of telemetry. Once activated, the application operates entirely offline.
PitLog itself does not use third-party trackers. However, if you visit our website, standard web hosting logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) may be collected by our hosting provider in accordance with their own privacy policy.
Since your trading data is stored locally, you are responsible for keeping your device and database file secure. We recommend regular backups of your PitLog database.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be published on this page with an updated effective date.
